Wayne Horsburg - Australia’s International Country EntertainerAustralian born, Wayne Horsburgh, moved to Sydney in 1979 from his home town of Benalla, Victoria and has been performing on the Sydney Club circuit ever since. Wayne's awards and achievements have made him one of the busiest and most respected entertainers in Australian Country Music. He first visited the USA in 1984 and as his popularity grows in that country, he now bases himself for about seven months of each year in ‘America’s Live Show Capital’, Branson, Missouri, before returning to Australia for our summer months.

With Fan Clubs in Australia, New Zealand and the USA, Wayne is kept busy each year touring the world. He recently performed at the Tamworth Country Music Festival in Australia, for his 30th year in a row. He goes to New Zealand in March 2007, before returning to Branson in the USA.

1989 - Wayne’s big break came when he performed on the Hodag Country Festival in Rhinelander, Wisconsin, along with Emmy Lou Harris, Ricky Van Shelton, Freddy Fender, The Oak Ridge Boys and many other stars. Wayne made such a huge impression on the crowd that he has now been back to perform on this big festival seven more times since then. Over the years Wayne has worked on the same bill as Merle Haggard, Garth Brooks, Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, Mark Chesnutt, Tammy Wynette and Randy Travis, just to name a few. Wayne returns to the Hodag Festival in July 2007, billed alongside names such as Neal McCoy, Mickey Gilley, Trace Adkins, Lonestar and Montgomery Gentry.

Branson’s Silver Dollar City in Missouri has seen Wayne performing at many festivals since 1995. He often represents Australia at the International World Festival, alongside hundreds of performers from all over the world, and then returns for the Festival of American Music and Crafts, later in the year.

In April 2006, Wayne was backed by an orchestra from the Czech Republic during the World Festival, followed by his usual tour of the USA, performing in Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota, Kentucky and Tennessee. In April 2007 he will perform once again at the International World Festival at Silver Dollar City, paying tribute to the ‘Songs of the Islands’, along with acts from Tahiti, Hawaii and the Caribbean.

Wayne returns to the Sydney Clubs each year for our summer months and tours throughout Australia. In April and May 2005 he toured the UK clubs and theatres, then returned for another UK tour in October 2006, following his American tour, then back home to Australia. His music is played on many radio stations around the world and he has two websites: www.waynehorsburgh.com & www.waynehorsburghUSA.com

Wayne has now released 20 albums during his recording career, the latest CDs being ‘Songs Of The Islands’, ‘Can You Hear Those Pioneers’ and ‘A Salute To Slim Whitman’. Wayne’s popularity for his ‘live stage performances’ keeps him busy travelling the world and no matter where he is, the audience will always feel comfortable and totally entertained.
